Colorado - Pikes Peak

One hour (18 miles) to the summit - 14,000 feet up!
real women don't need guard rails...
mountain goats?? about 5 miles from the top
taking pictures with one hand, driving with the other
there is an oxygen bar at the summit - very hard to breath here
if you look close you can see the "Garden of the Gods"

The haze hanging in the air is from California wild fires
no vegetation this high up
a crumbly edge and straight down

Just after a thunder storm...

It's hard to capture the essense of this place with pictures. This is an extrodinary setting, unlike any I've ever seen. I climbed around until I found this spot to read, write and watch the sunset.
