Minnesota Summers

The sheets pulled from the clothes line are warm, fresh and stiff. Sun dried cotton sheets may be my favorite thing about steamy days in August.

The day lilies are choking for water. It's been too dry for them this year and sadly they can not rely on me for moisture. I'll try to do better as I hate to see them suffer.

The grass is brown and crisp, which doesn't offend me a bit - in fact I smile as I know mowing won't be required.

Living thru a drought in Central Illinois too. Lawn hasn't been mowed for a couple of months, but am keeping the hostas alive at least!
